The domain
Patrick Guiraud, oenologist and owner of his vineyards, lived here since 1989 on the family estate that he has been maintaining and developimg over the years.
His philosophic regard and respect for nature and the environment led him to organic farming in 1997 and NOP (National Organic Program) winemaking in 2006.
The Domaine de la Fourmi, which lies on the edge of the Mediterranean Aigues Mortes, produces only Rosé, gris wines.
Indeed, its 45 ha of sandy soil (Rhodanien) planted with Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc and Merlot produce a typical wine of the region: GPI Sable de Camargue more commonly known as “Wine of Sand”.
The wines
DOMAINE DE LA FOURMI – Gris de Gris – GPI Sable de Camargue – Salmon color with rose petal highlights. An expressive and abundant nose with hints of grapefruit, peach and clementine. Large, elegant and refreshing fruity mouth.
