The Domain
Domaine Terres de Sable is an organic winery established in Aigues Mortes, south of the canal “Rhône-Sète”. The landscape is composed mainly of vineyards, and maritime pines. The roubines delimit the vineyard areas.
Terres de Sable is already mapped on plans dating back to 1809, making it one of the oldest properties in the small Camargue.
The origin of the estaste is linked to the presence of waterways in the region. On its land, there is a well dating from roman times which emphasizes the presence of men who passed at the foot of it, to follow the road of salt. Following archaeological excavations, gold and silver coins dating from the year 223 were discovered in the 1960s.
The vineyard produces a quality wine characteristic of the Sable de Camargue terroir. Production has always been packaged and sold at the estate.
The wines
The estate between pine forest and marsh, in the heart of the Petite Camargue, offers a complete range of organic wines. Organic for more than twenty years, its gray, gray and gray, red and white wines are fresh, light, fruity. Its vine ceps grow in the sand, and are fed by sea spray and the Mediterranean sun. The tasting of its wines is an ode to sharing, to appointments with friends, to long summer evenings, to the pleasures of life.
